The RoleTenant Engagement and Participation Lead role will be responsible for leading tenant engagement, participation and tenancy sustainment activities, contributing to achieving strategic objectives and improving performance against the KPIs for the team. The successful candidate will ensure best practice and compliance with regulatory requirements are embedded in our practice, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, growing and developing new links with partners where appropriate.
Key areas of responsibility include:- Tenant Participation and Engagement by organising and facilitating tenant groups and events as required;- Support tenants’ involvement in self-assessment and scrutiny of Bield’s services and performance as well as digital inclusion;- Implement and maintain Bield’s Tenant Participation Strategy and related action plans;- Maintain knowledge of legislation, policy and good practice guidance affecting community engagement and tenant participation;- Ensure tenants get clear and effective communication;- Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting systems;- Reports and analysis on tenant participation and engagement, wellbeing and tenancy sustainability;- Ensure you and the people in your team understand their responsibilities for Health and Safety at work as well as operate with an awareness of inclusiveness, equality and diversity in all areas of responsibility;- Lead, motivate and develop the team to enable them to provide high quality services and contribute to the achievement of Bield’s strategic objectives
The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a good understanding of barriers to facing older people in a housing setting and a demonstrable experience of supporting and developing tenant participation, engagement and an understanding of different approaches that can be applied. You will have experience working in a professional manner with both tenants and external stakeholders such as health and social care partnerships, local authorities and regulatory organisations. Ideally we would like to see candidates with CIH Level 4 qualification and a membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing, however it is most important that you have a working knowledge and understanding of operating a housing management system and understanding of tenant participation best practice.
Tenant Engagement and Participation Lead will be required to travel across all Bield’s locations, therefore full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle (insured for business purposes) will be required.
